StormRail prices gutter guards in Kent County by the foot on the first call. New seamless gutters with T-Rex start at $25/ft and with DoublePro at $30/ft, and Gutter Clean Pro fits over sound gutters from $18/ft. A certified Alu-Rex installer working in the county fits each job from the written plan you approved.
Kent County runs from Narragansett Bay to the Connecticut line, and the Pawtuxet River runs through the middle of it. In March 2010 that river put the Warwick Mall under 2 feet of water. Most gutter work here is about the smaller, steadier water that comes off the roof.

Towns we cover in Kent County
Five municipalities between the Bay and the state line
Kent County was carved out of the southern third of Providence County in 1750. Like every Rhode Island county, it no longer has a government of its own and serves the courts and the sheriff, with its seat in East Greenwich. It covers 188 square miles, and at the 2020 census it had 170,363 residents, the second-largest county population in the state.
There are five municipalities: the city of Warwick, the largest, and the towns of Coventry, East Greenwich, West Greenwich and West Warwick. The per-foot rate is the same in all five. What differs is the house: how long the eaves run, how many stories it has, how many downspouts the roof needs and what grows over it.
The Pawtuxet, the March 2010 floods and the ordinary year
Over March 29 to 31, 2010, 6 to 10 inches of rain fell across Rhode Island and pushed the month past 16 inches. The Pawtuxet River rose to 21 feet, 12 feet above flood stage, and the water ran through much of West Warwick. In Warwick, the Warwick Mall sat under 2 feet of water.
No gutter keeps a river out of a basement, and we will not pretend one does. A gutter's job is the roof's own water, carried to downspouts that send it away from the walls, so a saturated lot is not handed even more water at the foundation.
Most years bring nothing like 2010. The NOAA station at T.F. Green Airport in Warwick keeps the long-record normals for the area: 47.54 inches of precipitation a year, 36.6 inches of snow, 12.8 days with an inch of rain or more and about 109 nights at or below freezing for 1991-2020. Those are airport figures, and a house inland can see something different. For a gutter they mean a dozen hard rains a year and a long freezing season, when leaves left in the trough turn to ice.
- T.F. Green normals: 47.54 in of precipitation and 36.6 in of snow a year (NOAA, 1991-2020)
- About 13 days a year with an inch of rain or more, and about 109 freezing nights
- March 2010: 6 to 10 in of rain over three days, more than 16 in for the month
- The Pawtuxet at 21 ft, 12 ft above flood stage, through much of West Warwick
Postwar houses, mill-town buildings and the gutter on them
The two largest communities have different housing. In Warwick, about 69% of the 37,516 housing units are detached single-family, and the median dates from 1961, with 8,064 units from 1939 or earlier. In West Warwick, under half of the 15,269 units are detached single-family; 1,881 are in two-unit buildings and 1,597 in buildings of three or four units, and the median is 1968.
Either way, the gutter comes first. If it runs straight, drains to the outlets and is dry at the seams, Gutter Clean Pro can go on top. If it sags or leaks, the guard should go on a new seamless gutter instead. T-Rex is the hanger and the guard in one aluminum piece, and DoublePro adds a finer second layer for needles and grit. DoublePro carries a lifetime clog-free warranty, pine needles included.
| Town | Median year built | Detached share |
|---|---|---|
| Warwick | 1961 | About 69% |
| West Warwick | 1968 | About 46% |
Call to install: every step
Three ways to start
- Call (617) 401-9301. It is answered any hour, and a missed call gets called back.
- Send the short form on the home page with your street address, and your number lands in your inbox.
- Text or chat through the chat window on this site.
Understand what you actually need
About fifteen minutes on the phone: the length of the roofline, the number of stories and the trees around the house. The roofline is measured remotely, so nobody comes to the house to sell. You get your price the same day, from the published per-foot rates.
- Gutters still in good shape: Gutter Clean Pro goes over the gutters you already have, from $18/ft.
- Gutters that need replacing: new gutters with the guard built in. T-Rex (continuous hanger) from $25/ft, or DoublePro (two filtration layers) from $30/ft.
- Fascia that cannot be drilled: Hover Pro, quoted for your house.
- Complex rooflines, third stories and copper are quoted separately, and we say so on the call, never after arrival.
Your plan, in writing
You get a written quote and your StormRail plan: photos of your house, the system, the gutter size and your color choices. The certified installer works from that same plan, so you and the installer are never on different pages.
A deposit capped at one third
Massachusetts law caps a home-improvement deposit at one third of the contract. We hold to that in every state we work in. Your quote names the exact figure before you pay anything.
Material ordered and confirmed
Your Alu-Rex system is ordered through the Alu-Rex distributor and confirmed before an install date is set, so the date you get is one the material can meet.
Scheduled with a certified installer in your county
A certified Alu-Rex installer working in your area takes the job, and you get the date without chasing anyone. In season we're typically booking four to six weeks out. We'd rather tell you that now than promise you Tuesday and send whoever happened to be free. Emergency work — a collapsed run, active water in the basement — gets triaged ahead of the queue.
Installed
The installer fits the system on the plan you already approved. Any balance is due as your quote states.
After the install
We check in after the job is done. Each system carries its own written Alu-Rex warranty:
- Gutter Clean Pro: manufacturing lifetime limited, clog performance lifetime limited, including coniferous areas
- T-Rex: manufacturing lifetime limited, clog performance 25-year prorated limited
- DoublePro: manufacturing lifetime limited, clog performance lifetime limited, including coniferous areas
Questions homeowners ask
Is the price per foot the same across Kent County?
Yes. The rates are the same in Warwick, West Warwick, Coventry, East Greenwich and West Greenwich, and they are on the pricing page. Call (617) 401-9301 and we measure the roofline remotely and price it on that call.
Who does the installation?
A certified Alu-Rex installer working in Kent County. StormRail prices the job and hands it over with the written plan you approved, and the installer fits that plan.
Can a guard handle a storm like March 2010?
A guard is one part of the answer. It has to let water in quickly, and the gutter and downspouts behind it have to carry it away from the house. It does nothing about a rising river, and we will say so if that is your real problem.
Do you clean or repair gutters?
No. StormRail does not clean or repair gutters. We price gutter guards, new seamless gutters with the guard built in, and downspouts.
