One process, from the first call to the install
StormRail exists to take the whole gutter job and run it as one streamlined process, from the moment you call to the day the installer packs up. We are not here to take over anyone's trade. We are here so that nothing gets lost between the phone call, the price, the order and the install.
The usual way this goes wrong is a handoff. The person who quoted the job is not the person who orders the material, and neither of them is the person on the ladder. Each one works from a slightly different idea of what was agreed. We put all of it on one written plan, and the homeowner and the certified installer both work from that plan. Neither of you is ever on a different page.
That plan is built from what you tell us on the call and from a remote measurement of your roofline. It names the system, the gutter size, the footage and the price. When the installer arrives, they are fitting the job you already approved, not starting a new conversation in your driveway.
Backed by Wood & Wood Seamless Gutters
StormRail is backed by Wood & Wood Seamless Gutters, Mike Wood's Connecticut gutter company, with more than 30 years in the gutter business.
Mike Wood introduces StormRail in his own film on our home page. In his words: “One thing I’ve learned is that homeowners want clear answers, good workmanship and someone who follows through.” That sentence is the brief StormRail was built to.
He describes the business plainly: “StormRail brings together customer support, estimating, and installation coordination with qualified gutter installers.” And he describes where it starts: “The first step is understanding what you actually need.”
Wood & Wood is a working gutter company, and its experience is why the process is built around what actually happens on a roofline: how long a run really is, what the trees drop, where the water goes once it leaves the downspout.

Who does what
StormRail answers the phone, works out what your house needs, prices it from the published rates, writes the plan, orders the material and books the installer. Behind the scenes, in Mike's words, “StormRail uses technology to help organize the details and keep things moving.” Some of that is AI employees: they answer at any hour, turn the per-foot rate into your number and keep the schedule moving. They never climb a ladder, measure on site or inspect a roof. People do the roof.
The installation itself is done by a certified Alu-Rex contractor working in your area. Local installers are the reason this works at all. Mike puts the idea in one line: the business means “letting experienced installers focus on what they do best. Installing.” We hand them a job that is already priced, planned and ordered, so the time they spend at your house is spent on the gutters.
For you, Mike says, that means “less chasing people down and a clearer understanding of what happens next in the process of protecting your home.” That is the test we hold the whole process to.
How we price, and why the number holds
Our rates are published: gutter systems from $18 per foot installed for Gutter Clean Pro over sound gutters, $25 for T-Rex and $30 for DoublePro with new 5-inch gutters, and downspouts as their own line from $14 per foot. Every homeowner who calls gets the same rates.
People ask for a lower number. It's a fair question, so here's the honest answer: there's nothing in here to remove. The price covers a path the water takes from your roof to a safe distance from your house, and every piece of it is carrying that water somewhere.
There is no expiring discount and no better number behind a presentation. If your gutters are sound and there are no trees overhead, we will tell you that you may not need us at all.
The systems we install
Every system we install is made by Alu-Rex, a manufacturer that started as a family gutter-installation business in Quebec. StormRail is independent of Alu-Rex and is not owned by or affiliated with Alu-Rex Inc. The installation is done by a certified Alu-Rex contractor, and performance statements on this site are Alu-Rex's own published materials, attributed to them.
Each system carries its own written manufacturer warranty, and our warranty page sets them side by side so you can compare the terms before you choose.
Where we work, and where to find us
StormRail serves homeowners across New England: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. Our office is at 21 South Rd, Marlborough, CT 06447. There is one phone number for everything, (617) 401-9301, and it is answered any hour.
Call to install: every step
Three ways to start
- Call (617) 401-9301. It is answered any hour, and a missed call gets called back.
- Send the short form on the home page with your street address, and your number lands in your inbox.
- Text or chat through the chat window on this site.
Understand what you actually need
About fifteen minutes on the phone: the length of the roofline, the number of stories and the trees around the house. The roofline is measured remotely, so nobody comes to the house to sell. You get your price the same day, from the published per-foot rates.
- Gutters still in good shape: Gutter Clean Pro goes over the gutters you already have, from $18/ft.
- Gutters that need replacing: new gutters with the guard built in. T-Rex (continuous hanger) from $25/ft, or DoublePro (two filtration layers) from $30/ft.
- Fascia that cannot be drilled: Hover Pro, quoted for your house.
- Complex rooflines, third stories and copper are quoted separately, and we say so on the call, never after arrival.
Your plan, in writing
You get a written quote and your StormRail plan: photos of your house, the system, the gutter size and your color choices. The certified installer works from that same plan, so you and the installer are never on different pages.
A deposit capped at one third
Massachusetts law caps a home-improvement deposit at one third of the contract. We hold to that in every state we work in. Your quote names the exact figure before you pay anything.
Material ordered and confirmed
Your Alu-Rex system is ordered through the Alu-Rex distributor and confirmed before an install date is set, so the date you get is one the material can meet.
Scheduled with a certified installer in your county
A certified Alu-Rex installer working in your area takes the job, and you get the date without chasing anyone. In season we're typically booking four to six weeks out. We'd rather tell you that now than promise you Tuesday and send whoever happened to be free. Emergency work — a collapsed run, active water in the basement — gets triaged ahead of the queue.
Installed
The installer fits the system on the plan you already approved. Any balance is due as your quote states.
After the install
We check in after the job is done. Each system carries its own written Alu-Rex warranty:
- Gutter Clean Pro: manufacturing lifetime limited, clog performance lifetime limited, including coniferous areas
- T-Rex: manufacturing lifetime limited, clog performance 25-year prorated limited
- DoublePro: manufacturing lifetime limited, clog performance lifetime limited, including coniferous areas
